Christmas for American soldiers in war zones will be a little brighter this year thanks to students at Northampton Community College.
On Nov. 13, members of two clubs, the Band of Brothers Military Support Group and the Criminal Justice Club, packed about 30 cartons with sundries, puzzles, magazines, candy, gum, pens, and silly string to send to members of the military in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many members of the Band of Brothers are students who have served in the military in this country or overseas

The YMCA of Bethlehem’s Child Care Center on Broad Street held a Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 20. Taking on the roles of Pilgrims and Indians, each age group, from infants to school age, brought food items such as appetizers, vegetables, bread, fruits, salads and desserts to the feast.

Bethlehem Township held a Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. In the community hall, there was a pumpkin patch, face painting and costume contest. Hayrides were also taken. The event was held at Bethlehem Township Community Center, 2900 Farmersville Road.
